For the record, can you tell me the name of your business and a bit about what it is that you, personally, do?
My business is called Wild Moon Woman, which is actually a line from a poem I wrote about reclaiming the wild woman within! I do many things, including reading tarot, writing poetry, and creating social content that (I hope) is empowering to others! My main goal and vision in everything I do is to add value to people’s lives!
When and how did you know that this particular route was in fact your path?
Honestly, I am still figuring out my path every day (lol!) I have always had a passion for helping others and that has evolved a lot in it’s expression over time. I believe that we teach and do the things we ourselves most need to learn. For me, my lifelong lesson has been empowerment, encouragement, and self love–and that is what I strive to help others achieve as well. Tarot in particular is such a great vehicle to create the space where my clients can access their own inner truth and drive to change and create their lives!
What did you do to get here? And where do you still aim to go?
I followed my excitement and worked hard! Reading tarot started out as a hobby, and quickly grew to be a life-changing tool for both myself and others. I saw the way it impacted people and I knew I had to go bigger! As I have grown, I have also shifted to simply talking about subjects that I found to be valuable such as how to trust yourself, how to be more creative, etc, on youtube. I started focusing every day on creating valuable content that is inspiring to others on Instagram, YouTube, and other social media. With every interaction I aim to simply LOVE + ACCEPT people. I feel like that is what we all need most!
As for the future, I want to see everything (and everyone) grow! I plan on publishing a book of my poetry and other books down the line. I have some exciting plans to write for an amazing independently published magazine, and I want to continue to create videos that inspire! Basically I want the message to get out to as many people as possible that:
You are not stuck! You can change your life! It starts with you!
Even when living out our wildest dreams, bad days still come. How do you handle them?
They certainly do!! So I feel them! I don’t try to reject the bad feelings, instead diving deep into them to see what lessons are there for me and what may be out of alignment. On the practical side, I call my sister, I get out in nature, I allow myself to be cranky, I practice self care like alone time and sage and ice cream (lol). I also make an effort to fill myself with inspiring content like books and youtube videos from people I look up to, such as Tony Robbins, Lewis Howes, and Oprah. It’s all about understanding that the road to growth is a winding and unpredictable one, and grace is needed in massive doses!
Do you have a current daily/weekly meditation or yoga practice? If so, which styles do you prefer?
I meditate daily, usually once during midday for 20-30 minutes and once before bed! During the day I simply sit and quiet my mind, focusing on my breath. This helps to recharge and rest my nervous system from the constant stimulation of daily life! The ones before bed I do with my daughter. I put on a guided meditation CD by Ramdesh Kaur (our favorite!) and that’s part of her bedtime routine, so it’s a win win!
Which spiritual tools (earthing, crystals, meditation, yoga, mindfulness, sound therapy, astrology, tarot, healing modalities, etc.) do you rely on?
All of the above! Tarot being the main one, I also work with crystals and dabble in astrology (I would love to dive deeper into it in the future!) Nature and earthing are ESSENTIAL and I am outside as much as possible. I also consider reading to be a huge spiritual/growth tool and I make it a priority to read every day. Some recent favorites have been The Alchemist, Siddhartha, Letting Go, The Gaia Codex.. etc.
Anything else you wish to share?
I just want to say thank you for creating this beautiful and uplifting space! I believe deeply that the world is changed as individuals learn to love, trust, and honor themselves, and that process is aided greatly by people like you!!
